Aeridu Swift Commuter Solutions
Commuters between 50 and 500 miles can book a departure time and on-boarding location online, by mobile app, in person at the on-boarding location, or otherwise. The commuter drives their vehicle to be transported at the onboarding location, which can be a departure terminal. The commuter locates and approaches a designated toll booth and on-boarding position, which will provide the necessary accommodations to support and assist the commuter. A transit attendant or mechanism inspects and confirms the vehicle is and could be flat-towed and certifies the vehicle for transport. The vehicle would then be coupled to the vehicle coupling system. The commuter would then turn off the vehicle engine and place the vehicle in neutral if a tow coupling system is being used. If the vehicle is electric, it can be connected to a charging system during the transported commute. The transporter functions similarly to a vehicle ferry over land. The vehicle transporter and coupling system can accommodate 1 to 30 vehicles. The transporter with the low-speed motor will taxi the commuters in their vehicles to the high-speed motor, which is on the main guideway. Optionally, multiple transporter bodies can be connected, such as rail cars. The high-speed motor will disengage at or near the off-boarding location, and the transporter low-speed motor will taxi to the final off-boarding location, where the commuter vehicle will be decoupled from the vehicle coupling system.
